i have an rb1100AHx2 set up with 8 slow dsl connections(3-5mb) and it is working great for about 50-60 users. I have an additional 8 DSL lines installed that I have been manually assigning people to… HOWEVER What i would like to do is set it up so that the RB1100 will issue DHCP address and send them to random gateways… for example… every 3 addresses it issues it would give a different gateway address. Keep the same subnet, DNS, and IP address range… just a different gateway. I know that I could create a crap ton of different scopes. but is there an easier way?
My original thought was to make scopes of 2 or 3 address per scope and assign a gateway to it. but that would be pretty tedious.
Use a number PCC firewall mangle rules with the source address as the firewall matcher. Uses these rules for policy based routing, and it will randomize what gateway people use when they get a DHCP lease.
