i have been tasked to temporally network together a few meeting rooms at a convention center. One of the meeting spaces is on the second floor kinda far away. I was wondering can I pre configure serveral Mikrotik RB433’s and start from the “gateway” and start walking down the hall and when the signal starts to get week plugin an another RB433 at the point to boost the signal and continue down the hall, around the corner and do that a few more times? I currently have 6 RB433’s with 2 radios in each. Can this be done using WDS? Im looking to get 10Mbs from beginning to end.
Thank You
Sure.
i sure would like to get some comments on how i should configure the system
the best performing option would be 1 radio in the head end router, 1 radio at the far end, and 2 radios in any intermediate routers. Simply bridge the wlan1/ether1 int on the head and tail, and wlan1/2 (and eth1 if wanted) on the intermediates. bridge/stationwds, bridge/stationwds, and so forth from head to tail.
