From my WAP, I’m wanting to connect to the network via Ether1. Then share Internet via AP on Virtual Wlan2.
I have a MikroTik WAP that I am using to broadcast WiFi to another portion of my house. The WAP is connected via Ether1 to another MikroTik router. That router then connects wirelessly to my central router.
From the WAP, I I have an AP on Virtual Wlan2. I wanted to disable Wlan1 since I am receiving the network connection through Ether1. But I noticed that doing this also disabled the Virtual Wlan2. Am I required to keep Wlan1 enabled in order to use the Virtual? If it’s not required, is there any benefit in keeping the Wlan1 enabled?
