Hi there. I have an ISP with 212 clients right now but Im experiencing some trouble and its probably because of my design… so I wanna discuss it here and see if someone that passed by the same situation can enlight me on the right way. In the time beign I have 3 omnis Hyperlink 15DB each in diferent highs on my tower using channels 1, 4 and 8! I also have some pops on the city using all omnis and using channels 6 and 11 depending on their location. Sometimes I have about 25-30 clients on the same omni and some clients are experiencing CCQ drops until they get heavy packet loss. So im thinking to change the omnis for 3 Sectorial Panels 14DB Vertical-Pol 120º Hyperlink using channels 1, 6 and 11 to see if maybe sectorizing this schema I could avoid overlapping channels and getting noises in 360º. I am also trying to make my communications beetwen towers in 5.8GHz and only PtMP com with clients in 2.4GHz. Do you think guys that this resolution will work? I got an 10MB Full-Duplex link 100% guaranteed and I know that if a interface gets more than 3.5-4MB using 802.11b it will not work properly, but the actual situation barely pass 2MB per interface in peak time. Any help or sugestion would be welcome ![]()
Hi again, I just wanna say that the problems with instability have been solved by using the default values of HW retries and Frame Lifetime, I played with those values and this wasnt a good idea. I also reduced the power rate of the cards to 15db and it proved to be very helpful increasing stability. But the subject of the topic continues since it will be good to hear sugestions or already working projects about segregation of cells to distribute clients and balance the workload on panels.
