Hello, several days ago I made a mistake with updating my Mikrotik 260GS by wrong update file.
Rather than use a version 1.17 for 260GS(and RB260GSP ) is used version 1.17 than was made for 250GS.
Nowadays Switch works partly (some ports work properly), but some do not. Moreover, I tried connect to my switch by Winbox and browser, but I couldn’t (Winbox showed up only other Mikrotik devices).
Today I tried to use Netinstall, but during manual resetting of my device, ACT indicator was blinking extremely fast and wasn’t stopping. At the same time, Netinstall didn’t showed up my Mikrotik 260GS device.
May use please suggest me how to fix this issue?
p.s. I know that I made a huge mistake during updating a software, but I hope that I’ll be able to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Edgars P. from Mikrotik Support, I fixed this issue. Here is what I received from support:
Netinstall will not work for SwOS devices. You can try to reinstall the firmware using TFTP. Below you will find an example on how to reinstall SwOS using RouterOS: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/SwOS/RB250_RB260#Reinstall_SwOS_firmware >
I have the same problem update my Mikrotik 260GS with the 250S firmware version 1.17 only port 5 and 4 work.
port 1 does not work, because of this, BOOTDCHP does not start and I cannot assign an IP to update it.
But that could have been for the "old" RB260GS that didn't have CSS106-5G-1S on the bottom label. See RB260GS old vs new distinction Whether the same recovery options apply to both versions, I don't know.

The RB260GS is supposed to have a failsafe loader
This document RB260-series - User manuals - MikroTik Documentation tells about the reset button and how to use it to load the primary firmware (possibly from rom?) But they need to update the doc, because it has a reference to the dead link.

Note: The reload firmware section in the old wiki article is using a Mikrotik router (not the RB260GS) as the tftp server. But you may be able to use a dhcp/tfpt server on a pc as well, for example TFTPD64 : an opensource IPv6 ready TFTP server/service for windows : TFTP server which has both a dhcp server and tfpt server with logging built in.
You can see an example of using it as a tftp server to reload firmware on a tp-link router in this youtube video. I wasn't able to find a youtube video where an RB260GS was being recovered.

Even though I correctly reset the RB260S (hold down the reset button and power it on), I get the flashing and then the super-fast flashing. But I can't get an IP address. I've tried a couple of BootP-DHCP applications, including TFTD64, but I can't get an IP address.
From the PC, I type 192.168.88.2/24 or 10.0.0.1/24, but I never see the RB260S switch.
All I can do is try a direct connection with a crossover Ethernet cable.
Winbox (the program to manage RouterOS devices) should be able to detect a device running SwOs (but NOT to connect to It) showing the MAC and the IP (if any), see:
