Hi
I am having an issue with one port in a bridge routing to the internet. Every other on the router port was routing fine and not exhibiting any issues. Below are some details
Router: CRS125-24G-1S
SW: 6.42.10
Flat network: 192.168.0.0/24
DHCP: Router
DNS: Windows DNS server
Device with the issue has a static dhcp reservation or 192.168.0.190
The device that is having an issues is a SonyTV running android TV. It is able to connect and use resources on the local lan without any issue. Trying to connect to the internet is very intermittent, and mostly will not work. The weird thing is if I torch the port, the internet starts working with no issues. If I turn the torch off, than the internet stops working again. I moved the device over to another port on the switch, and it has been working fine ever since. This has occurred a handful of times over the past year or so.
So I have worked around the issue, but I am baffled, and would really like some logic explanation to this issue. Why would one port behave this way? I would assume if the port was bad, it would just not work…
Any insight or help would be greatly appreciated.
