Issue with Restoring Wireless Interfaces on MikroTik cAP AX

I recently updated my cAP AX device to RoS 7.13 and mistakenly deleted both wireless interfaces, wifi1 and wifi2. Despite trying various methods, I’ve been unable to restore them. I’ve attempted configuration resets, both with and without default settings, and tried netinstall to versions 7.13, 7.12.1, and 7.8 (7.8 - is factory fw). However, the result remains the same – my system now completely lacks wireless interfaces.

Additionally, in RoS 7.13, a new feature allows the addition of WiFi interfaces, but to be a requirement to specify something in the “Master” section. Regrettably, I cannot select anything in that section, and as a result, the interface cannot be added.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation or could provide guidance on how to resolve this issue, especially regarding the “Master” section when adding WiFi interfaces in RoS 7.13? I would greatly appreciate any assistance or pointers to resources with detailed instructions.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Do you have wifi-qcom package present ?
It needs to be there for AX devices.

That’s right! That helped, thank you very much. I tried installing the wireless package, but couldn’t get to wifi-qcom.

So you did not remove the interfaces, you removed the complete driver package !

As of 7.13:
Wireless is only for legacy wifi support.
wifi-qcom is for AX radios.
wifi-qcom-ac is for AC devices capable of running wave2 drivers (most ARM-based AC devices).

You really should read the release notes before doing something on your device.
And use normal upgrade from system / packages.

Then this wouldn’t have happened

About the deletion: absolutely - I deleted exactly the wireless interfaces from the Interfaces section.
