Having a few issues with RB962UiGS-5HacT2HnT, have it for about a week.
I don’t do anything crazy with it, just regular home use AP, running win7, 6.40.4 firmware.
- can’t connect to router via MAC
- ps4 can barely connect to 5ghz wifi, speed is terrible, it barely loads anything.
The problem is - it all worked and now for some reason it does not. I had issues with wifi right out of the box, the first day. I think i’ve reset configuration and set it all up again and it started working fine. I changed MAC address (i need to, ISP registers only one MAC), and winbox didn’t want to connect to the router via MAC, but after the first reset it did connect fine, with changed MAC.
Now issues with ps4 and 5ghz started after I was trying to use VPN, our sys admin from work offered me to set it up and gave me 3rd layer domain (i don’t even know what to use this for). So I set it up, everything works fine with it, phones, laptops, etc. except for ps4. I turned VPN off and since then I have issues with 5ghz wifi (2.4 works fine). I actually don’t think there’s any connection, because I reset the configuration and even updated to 6.40.4 in hopes it would fix it - it did not. My phone works absolutely fine on 5ghz. And also after that second reset winbox shows error when trying to connect to router via MAC.
Can you guys help explain what’s going on?
