I am having issues with DHCP over EoIP and PPTP BCP.
What I am trying to achieve: I have 2 MT RB3011 (MT1 and MT2) on different locations with public IPs and uplinks on port 1. On MT1 port 2 I have another connection which provides DHCP. I want to tunnel this port to MT2 port 2.
What does not work: Although I created EoIP or PPTP BCP tunnels I cannot get address from DHCP server on MT2 port 2 where I connect my laptop.
What works: I can successfully get IP address from DHCP on MT1 port 2. I can get IP address from DHCP also on bridge interface which bridges MT1’s port2 and EoIP or PPTP BCP ports. Sometimes I can get IP address from DHCP to MT2’s bridge interface, but the results are not consistent.
If I create local DHCP on MT1 bridge, I can get IP address everywhere without any issues.
This configuration worked ok for 2 location for more than half a year, but recent changes of adding 3rd location messed something up. Even with recreating everything from scratch it does not work or at least does not work for all of the location although the configurations are identical.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
