It really can't be this difficult

I am attempting to setup my first router (RB750GL) and by using the attached script that i found on the web, and although i connect to the Router, and the router is dishing out IP addresses via DHCP i cannot get out to these newly connected devices and even more importantly they cannot get in.

Using winbox i am able to connect via the MAC address to the router and i can see it is handing out leases but i need them to be able to connect to a server on my side, i have disabled all the filters/security rules but that doesnt seem to help, i am assuming its something to do with the routing but networking isnt one of my key skills!

I have looked at other examples but they all seem to have DNS and defined gateways but i don’t have either of those, this is a private network using static IP addresses (at the moment) with the RB acting as an interface to a WLAN via a Ubiquiti Bullet.

Is it something i am missing or just have wrong?

reset the routerboard and configure since zero, no copy and paste configuration of the web.

That’s easy for you to say, and it may have some merit, but doesnt help me with my problem.

Reset the router with /system reset-configuration no-defaults=yes

After this you will have a clean router. Then you can import with /import

This article will help you.
