Japan Regulatory Domain

Hopefully this isn’t a dumb question, but why does Japan have 5 regulatory domain settings? Japan and Japan 1 through 4.

you can specify those countries, enable regulatory domain and then check the wireless info page to compare the changes.

I don’t what to know what the differences are. I’m just wondering why there needs to be 5 regulatory domains for one country.
