Hi I am hoping someone can help me. I cannot get Java to work at all on my end users. If I remove the Router it all works, if I place back the java verfify on Oracles website works but takes about five minutes the first time it runs. Without Router it responds in real time. All java based sites just hang and fail, I guess they time out.
One of the websites has suggested that I enable web sockets but I do not understand what action I need to do on the Router. I turned on logging for all drops and nothing shows. Can anyone help?
Give us more information what is this “JAVA” you speak of.
JAVA programs are run locally on the PC, and they don’t care what router you have. If this specific JAVA tool needs network, we need to find out what protocol it uses, where it is connecting and so on.
http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp this website is the websites the clients run to test version. With Router in place a response happens after 5 minutes and is correct. With router removed it answers correctly straight away. I dont understand why there is a 5 minute delay.
I am also trying to get a web app that runs over 80 and 443 to work. I should see the same thing Java loading on client but it does not it just hangs like the example above but never recovers.
Ok its the transparent proxy. Does this feature actually work? I bought the device as I needed a web proxy. I had to disable the cache mode as if it went to memory it fills up and if I use an SD card its too slow but at least I could see connections. I have removed transparent proxy and it works now with device still running as NAT and firewall so this feature seems to be buggy.
