Just got new router, wont "listen" to applying new config.

So, I was trying to setup my new RB for the first time.. And it wont “listen” when I type in a new name for MikroTik in Router Identity, and then again it wont “listen” when I type in a password twice, then click Apply Configuration . It just resets back to default (admin, no pass) .

Why’s it doing this ?

edit: Found out I need to put in the password under Password, then set the SSID.

However, still no pass on the wifi just yet..

edit2: looks like you make a security profile for it ,then set the security profile to that instead of default.

Correct me if I was wrong..

First of all you need to read the manual to understand how the wifi is configured. Then use winbox to change the configuration and do not touch the quickset at all.
Yes. Make new security profile and use it instead of the default one.
