The hotel is out of rooms at the block rate. Please negotiate an additional block. The room goes from $149 to $247/night. That is a bit steep and not many are going to pay this much. I also would implore you to add Friday to the block so attendees can attend the entire MUM event and check out Friday morning.

Hmm, don’t travel much?? No one who books for trips normally books the rooms for the night AFTER meetings are finished. They would be perhaps if meetings were scheduled into the night for example.
In other words, you should book a flight out Thursday Night or stay on your own dime Thursday Night and fly out Friday morning. Nothing wrong with the practice of two nights here at all.

I have already looked at the Drury, looks nicer than the Marriott. But it is a 1/3 of a mile walk and if the weather is nice, then OK, if not…
I agree to some extent with the extra night, however, flying out at night after a long day is no fun.

Based on what happened with the Coronavirus in Italy, it wont be long before Germany and Austria are in crisis and it will spread quickly throughout.
