I was thinking the other day if it is possible to configure an MT but when other people access it in order to perform basic administrative tasks (such as add users to hotspot) they shouldnt be able to view the config or even better not been able to take a backup of a config.
Is this possible? Could a user be added to MT and perform only Hotspot functions?

You can set a group with limited permissions.
Unfortunately, modify hotspot users is not a specific permission.
If you want to limit the visibility of configuration, then you need to create a webfig skin that only has the functionality that you want, and then force this skin with a group and only allow the limited users to use webfig.
Hmm i see..i have no clue what thsi webfig is but from a quick look i saw that this is a web based config interface which doesnt really help my case since access will be done remotely.
I think at least it is possible to protect “backup” of config by remove “sensitive” permission.
At least in that way they cant get a plain config file which can be copy-pasted but have to go through all the gui interface to get the whole picture of the config.
Yes - disallowing sensitive and files is good.
