I am getting this error after boot my routerboard . I have connected it with serial.

Upgrade the Routerboards bios; reinstall with Netinstall.

a simple question

HOW…???

coz, its geting IP from netinstall utility, but routerboard not detecting in utility…and how to upgread BIOS…only two option i am geting 1. from ethernet 2. from serial. what will be the path of the file…i dont know what to do.

Please, post your output when router is detected and booted from netinstall.

Can anyone explain to me how i go about doing exactly what Ashish did? I have the serial cable? what program did he use? how do you do it?? This would help out my troubleshooting a hole lot… -Jordan

Jordan, it is Terminal emulation program.
HyperTerminal, SecureCRT on Windows, Minicom on Linux etc.
You have to use correct settings for application,
