looks like the power went out?

an XR5 in a 133, hmmm I don’t recall the specs on the 133, but a 112 could barley support the XR5 for power consumption. I too had this issue of reboot, since the XR5 drew too much power, cuaseing the reboot, and even the same log entry.

Find the specs for the board and xr 5, and see if it can support it. If the card is at its maximum tx power, perhaps lower it 1 or 2 db so that it doesnt use as much power ( Theory only )

Dear BobcatGuy

thank you 4 replying. we will check it and reply to u.

Funny… I was having an issue with a RB 333 with an XR5 card in it. It would reboot, with the " possible Power Outage" or sometimes Kernal Failure. It happened quite a bit, like 2 - 3 times per day, sometimes more. I asked my brother to check the cable to see if it got pinched, or cut anywhere ( its at his house) and he said no. When I was over there one day, Ilokked over the actual cable, and it seemed fine, but what I did see was a fluke… I glanced at the cat 5 connector, and thought that I had seen a broken wire… Sure enough, there was one wire that looked like it was ok, but still inside of the cat 5 connector plastic, it was broken. This was one of the power lines. ( Can’t Recall what Pin ) but it seems that running that board with XR5 with an 18 V POE, ona cable that was only 50 feet long, that the one wire used for power instead of the two was enough to cuase the issues. After the end was fixed, there has never been an apparent power outage. I am just assuming that it was the power consumption went up with the higher load on the card, and cuased this.

Hope that helps someone one day.. ( I put up with a resetting board for about a year )
