Memory size: 32 MB

Press any key within 2 seconds to enter setup..
loading kernel from nand… OK

jumping to kernel code
Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

Thanks

See if you can netinstall it. It sounds like the flash might be corrupted or erased.

I have this same problem. When I try netinstall things seem to go well, the image is loading but then I get this error:

trying bootp protocol… OK
Got IP address: 10.10.1.1
resolved mac address 00:1D:72:4F:10:70
transfer started …*… transfer ok, time=1.16s
setting up elf image… OK
jumping to kernel code
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

I have heard that reflashing the bios, might solve this, but I am unable to find out how to reflash bios.

RB532A w/64 meg ram

BTW I have the 2.12 BIOS firmware. I just don’t know how to flash this.

Use rs232 and a termial-tool (Upload)..

Thanks, after putting Hyperterminal on my Windows 7 machine, I was able to upload the BIOS firmware. After that was complete I was able to reload 4.13 and now everything is FAT & HAPPY

Problem Solved.
