Kernel Panic, some help

I have HP proliant ml150 xeon. This server have NIC routerboard44 and broadcom netXtreme Onboard (this appear on the resource).

This MT was working without problem since 90 days ago, but yesterday i take a kernel panic. The message of the kernel panic it is:

eth1 error, poll already scheduled

I make the support file and send to support but i don’t have answer yet and my wisp it’s caos (i have KP about 5-10 min).

Somebody tell me something???

I call to HP support and they say me that the NIC ethernet can’t be disabled on the bios.

Are you pushing allot of traffic?

I’m taking a stab in the dark here seeing that we cant really pull allot of debug information out of MT, but I’d say you’re ethernet cards are running on shared IRQ…

Try a faster NIC, or get the NIC on a dedicated IRQ. Those Realtek and friend chipsets are REALLY bad network cards perforacne wise on high load… Invest in some Quad Port Intels or something. They’re very much worth the money spend.

I have 20Mb/s real of internet. About 3000 packets/seg. The Routerboard 44 have 4 ethernet (1 pci slot) so, this NIC have shared IRQ. I will try to change the irq of onboard NIC.

also disable all serial, usb, ide ports in bios that are unused - free up as much IRQ polling as possible.
