L009 With WIFI Can't reconfigure correctly

I have had this for a while now. When I first got it, the L009 was basically plug and play. Didn’t have to do much. I have since updated to the newest 7.21 and did the hard 20 second reset on the router. I did this because something went wrong with my internet being stuck at 100MBS. I have since figured that out. That is good. Issue I am having now is all the configurations that were originally on the router are completely gone now and is no longer plug and play. Even the WIFI setup is gone now. There is eth1-8, but no bridge in there and I have followed a few good videos to setup the DHCP server/client, NAT, IP range and all that, but my internet never works. I can access my modem and even the routers OS through the internet webpage, but no internet. I have been using WINBOX to access the router. I was hoping there was a download file I could upload that would fix all this. If not I am going to need a step by step guide on how to get all this back up and running fully again. I am not doing a static or ppoe. Just a normal auto configuration. My internet is plugged into port 1 and my pc is plugged into eth 2.

You can go to the menu System -> Reset Configuration and keep the options like this:

the click on the "Reset Configuration" button, and after the reboot it will revert back to the "basic plug and play" configuration that you saw when you first bought the router.

Personally, in such a situation I also tick "Do Not Backup" (no need to keep backup for a non-working config).

I went and did this. I used the quick set to configure most of the router. I have followed the entire guide for mikrotik and my computer says im connected to the internet, but I can’t connect to any websites on the internet. I assumed its a DHCP issue, but everything there checks out as well. So I am still unable to use the internet. Furthermore my wlan interface is gone. Completely gone. I don’t know how a wireless interface just disappears, but it did. Everything I have read says there should be a wlan adapter to enable there and there isn’t. I might just contact Mikrotik at this point and have them send me a replacement. I don’t know. Just seemed like when I first got this thing and set it up it was pretty easy. Now it seems nothing I do works.

UPDATE-I finally got the internet to work. But as I stated in the reply above the wlan interface adapter is missing. I can’t do wireless at all now. I don’t know how to get it functioning again.

Do you have wifi-qcom package installed on that device ?

If not, I wonder how you upgraded. Not the correct way, that's for sure.

In Webfig go to [Interfaces -> Interface -> New] and try adding a wifi interface. If the dialog comes up with a non-null MAC address, you have probably got an interface back. Not totally sure about whether this will work, but probably worth a try

I have tried this. The problem is there is a section that says Master. It’s red and when you click on it there is nothing in the drop down. I think the Wireless adapter has malfunctioned somehow during the resets ive done.

I have installed all the different wireless packages through netinstall and none of them have changed anything. I ended up last with the normal wireless one since that seems to work with legacy ARM which is what the L009 wireless is from what I researched. Everyone had the wireless and CAPsMAN except the last wireless.

I am currently on version 7.20.6 for the RouterOS and wireless package. Are there any other packages i should be installing?

WRONG.

It HAS to be wifi-qcom for L009. No other wireless package.
And you are sure your device is the version with wifi ?

Base ROS package
wifi-qcom package

Make sure only those 2 are installed, then reset again to default config keeping users.

As @holvoetn says, it is wifi-qcom you need. the wireless package gives you old style CAPsAMN

Even worse .. wireless package will simply result in no working wifi.

As I stated I already had the WIFI-QCOM installed during one of my installs to see if it would work and it didn’t.

Futhermore, your extremely unprofessional attitude toward Mikrotik customers is unnecessary. You aren’t a mod of a reddit post or forum. This is an actual company that sells products across the world that is subject to consumer reports and BBB feedback from said consumers. I am sure the Mikrotik owners wouldn’t appreciate you treating it’s customers in such a unprofessional and nasty demeanor.

Excuse me ?
You have a problem. I don't. You might want to tone down a bit.

This is at first a USER forum.

What's your EXACT device model ? You still did not answer that.
Preferably output from terminal:
/system routerboard print

Also output from
/system package print

I already took pictures of everything. Especially the last one you deleted before this post. I reported you to the technical service people along with my issues since I can’t seem to get a hold of a admin on here. I politely decline your help from now on.

As you want ...

Yes, I do have the wirless version of this router. I used to have the wireless function and it was great. If i go and re-install the wifi-qcom again and the wireless adapter still isn’t there, do you know what other course of action I need to take? I reported the issue to technical support, but it would be nice to get it solved sooner than later.

Sorry, I am out. Others have been put on time out for standing up to OP's who start kicking out. Bye.

I appreciate the time you spent on my post. I was able to install the wifi-qcom with routeros and the wifi showed up this time!!! I have gotten everything up and running, but now…..now the router has decided to put my internet locked at around 350mb instead of the 1gig internet I have. So now I am just tackling that issue. I appreciate the help.
