L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN - Practical WiFi speeds, real life?

I have implemented one L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN for remote office installation. All in all, I like the little device. It seems powerful enough, certainly better than 2011.

I got about 100/100 mbp/s awg speeds using iPhone for WiFi testing. 20 Mhz channel width, line if sight and clean channel and max permissible power.

What are you tested speeds in practical use?

For comparison I used Cambium XV2-2X Wi-Fi 6 Access Point in same conditions, and I got about 70/70 mbp/s stable on n and actually worse results on ax. While L009 was more or less stable 90-100+ mbps, Cambium was fluctuating quite a bit, mostly not reaching 90 down, with up to 125 up. So the L009 actually beat Cambium in this regard. Really good result.

For anyone interested, I think you can rest assured that this time MicroTik actually performs admirably.

(Antenna gain is lower, I have not tested range, but I did notice that it is quite good.)

As country regulatory limitations are for EIRP and this includes antenna gain, the AP range doesn’t depend on antenna gain (as it used to decades ago)… unless RF power amplifier lacks power. So what higher antenna gain brings these days is slightly better reception. Now, of both wireless link peers feature antennas with decent gain, then both directions benefit.

Not practical results but I once tested AX Lite (same Wifi setup as L009 minus external antenna) connected over wifi to AX3.
I ended up seeing 400Mbps using iperf.
On 2.4Ghz and ideal conditions (ZERO interference from neighbors).

In this case, the AP range doesn’t depend on antenna gain.
