Dear all, recently I bought this router l009uigs-2haxd-in and the sfp+ rj45 adapter Qiniyek 1.25/2.5/5/10G, used to connect the router with a server using rj45 2,5gbps. Network cable is Cat6a compliante, but when I plug both the device the sfp+ led blink but no communication is working beteeen the parts. How I can configure the sfp+ adapter in the mikrotik to support 2,5gbps link speed with the server? (the server is a proxmox using a 2,5gbps betwork adapter)
Try to set sfp-sfpplus1 port speed to 2.5Gbps and disable autonegotiation.
But it could be you won’t be able to make things work … Mikrotik devices are notorious for poor support for SFP modules (including RJ45 ones) and it’s best to get a module which is known to work well with your particular Mikrotik device … e.g. by seaching this forum for success stories. I don’t remember seeing a story involving your particular RJ45 SFP module so far (but my memory is flaky, so …)
