Hi, I have researched this for a while now and still cant get it to work. What I would like to do is setup our wireless network to use L2Tp and IPSEC so no traffic goes over the air unencrypted. I was just wondering if anyone had any success at setting up a network like this and if they could shed any insight into how to do it. Ive read the documentation and searched the forum and google but i still cant get it to work.
The network looks like this.
Upstream provider

Modem
|
(Backhaul)
|
Mikrotik

Access Point
(Wireless)
Users CPE
All connections are ethernet.
I have done this in a “LAB” environment..
Use the MT as the access point as well..
I set up the laptops to connect to the network over a “dial up” connection (This was the encrypted link created by the Microsoft dial up adapter over the wireless interface)
The user had to provide two passwords one to access the L2TP/ IPSEC network and then another for the NT domain.
The link came up at 108Mb and was encrypted end to end.
There is a thread out there that explains how I did it..
(I cant remember all the gorey details at the current time..)
Search on my earlyer postings and you should find it..
