l2tp bridge

3.0rc13 - bridge & l2tp

I’ve setup an l2tp-client, a bridge, a admin mac address on the bridge, changed mrru to 1500 on the ppp interfaces, a ppp profile that bridges that l2tp-client, and I’m getting a bridge port thats DI (Dynamic Inactive). The other side is configured the same way except its a l2tp-server. Anyone know why both sides bridge ports would be inactive ? Do I need a special MAC address or something on the bridge (both have ‘admin MAC addresses’ set to a virtual MAC) ?

Really what I am asking is does anyone have ppp interfaces bridged in 3.0 and its working ? Can you post your config.

Sam

I have the same problem with pptp+bridge.

Send a step by step instruction to support - will be fixed in the next release.

yes, i heard back from support about it being recognized. thank you.

Any feedback whether this has been fixed?

Interesting thread.

I’m trying to create an L2TP tunnel where the client end is bridged to a real interface - ether1.

Can someone tell me if this is actually possible?

Thanks in advance

Malcolm

yes, if MRRU on l2tp tunnel is > 1514 bytes.
