l2tp Client not reachable

Hi,

i have established successfully a l2tp connection. :slight_smile: now i try to access a ftp server on my l2tp client (10.0.1.9) from the other side of the tunnel (10.0.0.2). the l2tp server (10.0.1.1) is reachable from the 10.0.0.2, the client is not. i am able to establish a telnet connection from the client (10.0.1.9) to the 10.0.0.2…

does this forum have any suggestions?

You need to ensure that you are routing the correct networks up and down the L2TP link. Do a packet trace or watch the network to see where your packets are going. You will probably find they’re not going where you want!

Routing? I thought there is only one subnet- no routing, no gateway?

When i make a (telnet) connection from the 10.0.1.9. to the 10.0.0.2, the telnet server tells me: “connection to this unit established from 10.0.1.1:1896”. May be this additional information is usefull.
