My ISP has started to provide static IPs via a L2TP tunnel.
I have a RB750 and see that it has the L2TP interface available, however the ISP says the mikrotik wont work as they have been trying to do for quite some time. Apparently the mikrotik cant handle tunnel authentication? Sounds a bit arbitrary to me.
I haven’t tried myself because I am still waiting for my ADSL connection to be installed.

As you do not give any details about what server it is, what settings are required, and you have not checked it yourself.

I suspect we might be using the same ISP. I am also having this issue. It is because they do not use IPSec with their L2TP implementation. Here’s the configuration specified by the ISP.
Please, if anyone knows how to get this working I’ll be plenty happy!
