Hi all,
Wondering if anyone else has this problem. I have a multi-WAN setup with VPN traffic (RouterBoard 2011 ↔ CRS125-24G) routed via a specific WAN route. It works fine (no timeouts, lag etc) except when someone downloads a large file that floods the WAN link.
The WAN link is an 8/8 fiber service. I am using the RB2011 with the CRS125 at the data center (and barely loaded at all on a 100/100).
When the download has finished, the VPN will come back up. I often use SSH sessions with CLI output; all the output is dumped to my screen when the VPN is back online except when the download takes a very long time (not sure but seem >5 minutes) and the VPN connection can’t recover before the SSH timeout.
My immediate thought is to use a prioritisation queue with dynamic traffic allocation depending on the amount of data being transferred via the VPN but that shouldn’t be necessary.
Thank you in advance for any input you can provide.
