Hey,
As I understand and was searchhing quite a lot, mikrotik l2tp/ipsec VPN users timeout time is 8 hours, because after 8 hours users gets disconnected? It is possible to raise this authentication time out for example up to 10h?
thanks!

I do not know of such limitation…
Bu default in the ppp profile the session timeout has no limit…

Thanks, and you are right! I was mistaken by people working with l2tp/ipsec vpn, who insisted that their sessions disappear after 8 hours, and yesterday I was searching more and find out that there were sessions already alive more than 8 hours so users were telling not truth.
I am also seeing L2TP session timeouts after 8 hours. The PPP Profile session timeout was blank. This is on an RB4011 running 6.45.3. (Maybe something has changed since that version to the latest 6.46.6…?)
I found the docs stating that there is no timeout applied by default, but the behavior indicates that there is -some- timeout happening, as all L2TP connections are summarily disconnected after that ~8 hour mark.
I am going to enter 22-hours in that PPP Profile session timeout setting, to see if that makes a difference… After that will likely try upgrading.
It’s a Windows specific issue:
