LAN bridge via WiFi connection - DHCP issue

Hi,
not sure if I use the correct terminology…

I have Wifi provided by a FritzBox at home.
In the backyard I need internet access for LAN only devices.
So my idea is to place my spare Mikrotik hap Lite in the backyard and to connect it to the Wifi from the FritzBox.
I get the hap Lite connected to the FritzBox WiFi.
But I don’t get it to work that the LAN devices connected to the haP lite in backyard receive their IP addresses from the FritzBox DHCP.

I tried many config attempts the past three days but I cannot solve the challenge to get the IP addresses from the FritzBox.
Receiving the IP addresses from the haP lite works to operate the connected LAN devices, but then I cannot access the LAN devices connected to the haP lite from devices directly connected to the FritzBox / FritzBox Wifi → all devices shoul be in the same IP range 192.168.175.0/24.

You help is appreciated!

Cheers, Tom

You might get things somehow work, but you’ll need lots of luck. The thing is that standard 802.11 wifi doesn’t specify truly transparent wireless bridge (which is what you’re after), so vendors implemented proprietary extensions which obviously only works when both AP and station are by same vendor.

You can try to get it work, experiment with different station modes. And read more in this article.

Thanks very much, Metod. So maybe I am not so dopy as I thought meanwhile
