LAN In vs Gateway Out

Hi guys

I’ve got some things that I cannot explain.

My Gateway interface has constantly been sitting at a TX of about 7-10Mbps, yet my Lan RX is well below 2Mbps
What/Where is this other traffic coming from? It seems to be from the Router itself but not sure what it is

The Gateway Rx and LAN Tx are a much closer match, generally off by only 1Mbps or so

Any thoughts or ideas please

Search the forum a bit before you ask. This topic is several times here.

Probably you have allowed external requests to you DNS on the MikroTik but you didn’t have restricted the access to your LAN. So everyone from the internet can access (and will acess) your DNS.
