How to handle a lot of packets and large.
About ~3000 p/s
I’m using nstreme @24mbps, bandwidth test for up and down about 10mbps and 10mbps
for both up+down = 5mbps+5mbps
using polling with best fit 3200
cpu resource at 100% using wrap 266mhz geode, CM9 both ends
ping from bridge-client around 16-100ms <— this is large!!!
Is this cpu limitation?
Any suggestions?
Yes, you’re CPU bound. I believe MT posted something about 700Mhz or better being the lower limit for the CPU if you wanted to run nstreme at full speed. This effectivly eliminates any of the single board systems normally discussed around here for wi-fi use and moves you into the PC with miniPCI adapter cards realm, which implies external weather proof boxes to hold the PC, etc.
