I’m not sure where to post this. I don’t know if it’s wireless or network issue. Periodically my system will stop passing PPPoE requests. When this happens some of the Mikrotik devices will also stop responding to their IP addresses. For example I have several POE switches, 75% of the clients will authenticate through the switch, but about 25% will not. The request never hits the PPPoE server. The switches are PowerBOX.
Additionally some of the clients behind the PowerBOX can be accessed others can’t even though all show up on the neighbors list with an appropriate IP assigned. When this happens it might last for several hours or sometimes several days.

Did you check cpu usage on the pppoe server when this starts to happen?
Many times I am not able to get into the powerbox via IP but when I do it’s often a 100% CPU usage. It’s as if something is flooding the powerbox. I have 4 in my network and all are experiencing this issue at various times.
Didn’t read your post correctly. The PPPoE server rarely gets above 30%.
Please post the RouterOS versions on the relevant hardware.
It definitely looks like some sort of L2 issue is happening, broadcast storm, network loop or similar.
Try logging into an affected powerbox via mac-winbox or RoMON, and have a look at /tool profile, and interfaces looking for saturated ethernets.
