Layer 2 Traffic Priorization

Hi everyone,

I am in a middle of a project where i have to connect many security cammeras (CCTV) through Wireless and Fiber Optic network. Everything will be transparent (Bridged), and I need to priorize the PTZ traffic (Traffic from the joystick to move the cammera (TCP)) over the UDP video traffic.
At first i try using in the bridge the option use-firewall= yes, and then put some mangle rules and queue rules. But did’t work, the counters of each rule works fine, and the packet mark did work too, but if i increase the traffic of the cammeras then the PTZ traffic go slow.. too slow. So did’t work.

Do you know another way to priorize packets over a bridged network. I read something of 802.1p but i don’t know if mikrotik support that, i did’t found a example or a good explanation of layer 2 priorization in the Mikrotik’s Manual.

I will appreciate your concern. I will wait for an answer

Thank You

Anyone? Mikrotik People… what do you think?.. some idea?

I will appreciate some opinion.

maybe this helps: http://www.tiktube.com/?video=247

I done this project.

My CCTV:
example:
http://192.168.0.1:123
http://192.168.0.1:124

-Mikrotik:
/ip firewall nat (80:udp)

Sophal What are you talking about?

Sorry but i did´t understand what you try to tell me.

I manage security cammeras Traffic from the joystick to move the cammera (TCP)) over the UDP on mikrotik router.
