LCD on CCR1009 without touchscreen

Hello

i have a ccr1009 without touchscreen here.
now i would like to use an external LCD.

The installed LCD package only let me configure a touchscreen i dont have.
i would like to configure the interface the external LCD is connected to.

that is not supported. The Internal LCD’s are connected to the CPU, not USB or serial.

i know that the internal LCD are not connected via USB.

But my CCR1009 has no internal Display and i would like to add one.
I need the LCD package from the other devices.

Buy a used RB2011 from ebay. IIRC it’s a surface mount connection, so you are going to need surface mount desoldering and soldering tools. Good chance you are going to need the screen, the cable, the socket, and likely the interface chip from the diner RB2011.

The separate LCD screens are available from companies like this:

Of course, to use it you will have to open the device, find the connector it connects to, and adapt the case to allow access to the screen.
This is not something you can put in a remote box.

as i understand there is no possibility to use another display as the touchscreen that is built in the newer devices.
thought i can use an USB or Serial Display like on the Routerboards.

The touchscreen is not the same as the console!
You need to decide what you want to have, a remote console (which can be done serial or via usb)
or the touchscreen (which is a locally attached flimsy device that you cannot extend over an external cable).
When you want a touchscreen your easiest option is to swap the router for a model that has it.

i dont want the touchscreen.
all i want is to connect a lcd like a crystalfontz cfa635 i have connected to other routerboards.

Hello,
The “/lcd” menu is intended for built-in LCD touchscreen.
There is another “/system lcd” menu for external LCD screens.

i dont have a lcd menu unter system on my ccr-1009-8G-1S
only the one for the touchscreen in the root menu

i have a CRS109 with inbuild touchscreen.
on this device i can install the lcd package for the mibsbe from the all packages file

but in the all packages file for the tile devices there is no lcd package.
so no system/LCD menu for my CCR-1009

is there a LCD package for USB LCD for the devices with tile cpu?
