Any one have a documentation about this?
i have already configured my hotspot and it works well.
what i want to do is configure the authentication of it via hotspot
some says it need to configure the radius server. but i still no luck about it.
i think something is missing in my configuration.
any suggestions or help will do.
what kind of radius do you use? NPS/IAS, freeradius, etc. ITs strightly like just to follow documentation. You have to little info, to make an ansver. It could be all from ip address, password, wrong spelling. to somting really wrong in what software you use. Post more info.
Ldap, like in AD from MS, is not that hard to get to work as a radius with IAS. (NPS i have not tried this, but should be no problem to make this working)
Hi, i am using freeradius, i had check all the details, IP passwords spellings etc.
my radius configuration is
service: hotspot, login Address: x.x.x.x Secret: ****** Authentication port: 1812 Accounting port : 1832 Timeout: 300ms
but still when i tried to log in with some other endpoint i always got an “radius server is not responding”
server and pc’s are in all the same networks. do i miss something like some configuration on firewall etc?
and also i want to work it with some linux/ubuntu 12.04 endpoints

Try the NTRadPing utility (Google it) and see if you can Connect to the radius server. Also check the log.
