LHG 6 LTE - locking cell (edit)

Hey guys,

It’s not tthe first time I work with microtik but certain time has passed and now I can’t figure it how to solve this.

First I got an LHG LTE6 kit (RBLHGR&R11e-LTE6) and already put my sim card and the 4G LTE just doesn’t connect. The SIM card doesn’t have a PIN.

[admin@MikroTik] > interface lte info 0
pin-status: unknown
functionality: tx and rx rf circuit disabled
manufacturer: “MikroTik”
model: “R11e-LTE6”
revision: R11e-LTE6_V020
imei: 356662100315644

Already choose the bands that Portugal uses. 1,3,20,38.

Can someone please help me fix this? Since I need to start working from home because corona It’s very important.

Thanks.

LHG don’t recognise your sim ?

check if you have put your sim card the right way round (and not pushed it too far)

can you publish the result of
new terminal
admin@…>interface lte info lte1

Hey, first of all thanks for trying to help

Well…

After taking out the SIM CARD and clean It with alcohol It started to work..ROFL!!!

Now I have an Issue that, the TIK, scan and find too many networks with bad values (the coverage here is awful) and doesn’t lock in one, so keeps changing and I don’t have service at all…at the moment I’m with the huawei b310 working lol

After reading the Wiki I’ve found this to lock:

/interface lte at-chat lte1 input=“AT*Cell=2,3,1300,384”

If I want to lock to the cell 518401 band 20, is with that command? If yes can someone help?

Many thanks

You need EARFCN and PCI

/interface lte at-chat lte1 input=“AT*Cell=2,3,EARFCN”,PCI"

you can see these informations with :
\interface lte> cell-monitor
number: lte1

and if you are connected to proper Tower, then you can read this info just from current connection details in Cellular tab

Thanks mate but which tab do you have that info? after I go the cell It only appears this…

Very useful mate, thanks a lot!
Which one do you recommend?
Also another question, sorry…But since I have an RBLHGR&R11e-LTE6 isn’t suppose to have aggregation? Need to turn on, or the signal is so crap that only connects to one?

best regards.

Update ROS to newer and you see that cell-monitor will be works better and The Cellular tab will be with more details.

For which version? The lastest? Isn’t any bug which will affect my already poor performance? XD

You are a administrator of your device. You should know all ± of ROS. You can select beta channel or stable. Or even ROS7.
But do a upgrade !

Done  Thanks mate!!
Still, speed so low…

Hey, found the best tower, speed reaches like 17mbps OMG…Got only one problem, when connect It doesn’t show me the PHY CELL ID.

Do you know any way to find this?
Thanks.
phy_cell id.PNG

Use WinBox 3.22
enable logs with topic=lte
Log - use filters for messages with CREG or $CREG
The last one is phy-cellid in hex. Use Windows Calc (calc.exe) in Programmer mode to enter hex from log and see the proper decimal value.

Thanks a lot mate, It doesn’t appear because the cell id is 0 lololol so when I put 000 or 0 the tik accepts

excuse for the stupid question, but I got a CCR1009 and the R11e-LTE card - where does the ISP SIM go? there is no slot in the R11e-LTE. Is it an e-sim or should I put the SIM in the SD slot?
thanks

CCR even if they have mPCIe slot then this not work, because mainboard is not for lte… no sim slot.
Or m.2 socket and you use a adapter (he must have got SIM slot) and maybe that way this can work.
Or you should use a 12$ WWAN adapter with a USB port and connect it to CCR like any other USB device via OTG cable.

thanks, I read that they have 1 SIM slot — so it’s only for the memory card. Too bad.

“Or you should use a 12$ WWAN adapter with a USB port and connect it to CCR like any other USB device via OTG cable.”
THe CCR has only one PCI slot?

I orederd this from amazon: Mini PCI-E wireless WWAN alla scheda adattatore USB con SIM Card slot modulo testing Tools Cablecc so
has USB connector, one mini PCIe slot and one SIM slot

R11E shoud go in this and not in the CCR PCIe slot? 13€
SIM goes in it
attach to USB
correct?
Hope RuuterOS sees it …

THe CCR has only one PCI slot?

CCR have NOT a mPCIe with SIM slot bus. Check RBM11G and compare them and you see difference. Read documentation.

R11E

This is wifi or lte module, witch one exacly

SIM goes in it
attach to USB
correct?
Hope RuuterOS sees it …

Not give information , confirmation that wwan adapter will be works as mPCIe bus

LTE is big topic.
