LHG 60, DROPS OUt

Just set up a link using a pair of LHG 60’s supplied as one kit, initially they did not work, I updated the firmware 6.43.4 and the link came up, it is 840m, RSSI is -64DB, alignment is 0.6 up and .6 right, PHY Rate 1155.0Mbps, SIGNAL 40, MCS 4, TX Sector 62, RX Sector 96.

Everything seemed perfect for 7hrs. then it dropped out for no apparent reason for 4 Minutes, this is enough to cause complaints from customers.

This very very rarely happens using Ubiquiti equipment, yes they fail but rarely simply drop the connections and almost never when new.

Any idea why this is happening

Try to use the higher channles the signal is too low with the right alignment you have to stay around -52 or better

I suggest to use http://www.cdr.pl/p6418,uchwyt-precyzyjny-wireless-wire-dish-rblhgg-60adkit.html

I have a pair of these and many more of the WAP60G’s in the field and all of them have disconnect/reconnect issues, even without rain/snow etc. This is my latest paired numbers below, if I try and align them any differently then where they are now it gets worse. I am actually on the latest firmware. I cannot seem to get these aligned properly or there really is something wrong with the disconnects, I have some Metrolinq that I have had running for 2 years without issues. So I am unsure if I am making this mistake or its something else, I have posted several times seeing if others are doing things differently. This link is also one of my shorter links as well, but too far for the WAP60G

please provide versions used on those links and make sure you are running latest ones - there a lot of changes and improvements in latest releases.

Anton,

On all of our links we are running 6.42.9 or greater, this link is specifically is on 6.43.4 along with firmware 6.43.4

Antonsb latest FW 6.43.4 is not usable during the alignment the RSSI value update after several seconds (>30) or it don’t update, I wasted 3 hours before to understand that it was a software problem with 6.43.2 I solved the alignment problem

Latest versions in first few minutes devices will test out possible beamforming scenarios - RSSI readings will change rapidly during this.
In beta versions we have included align mode:
/interface w60g align wlan60-1

Hi antonsb,
you mean for align device we must use beta version ?

yes, align mode currently is only in latest beta versions.
