LHG XL 52 ac - wifi-qcom-ac - TX-power problem

Hi,

On my LHG XL 52 ac with wifi-qcom-ac package cant set TX-power above 3dBi on any frequency.
Below my config

/interface wifi channel
add band=5ghz-ac disabled=no frequency=5600 name=channel1 width=20mhz
/interface wifi configuration
add country=Poland disabled=no mode=ap name=cfg1 ssid=test tx-power=30
/interface wifi
set [ find default-name=wifi2 ] channel=channel1 configuration=cfg1 configuration.mode=ap datapath.bridge=bridge1 disabled=no security.authentication-types=wpa2-psk .encryption=ccmp .passphrase=test1234

but monitor show

interface/wifi/monitor wifi2
state: running
channel: 5600/ac
registered-peers: 0
authorized-peers: 0
tx-power: 3
available-channels: 5600/ac

30 - 27(Antenna gain dBi for 5 GHz) = 3

I have 6,2km link.
With old package i have stable signal -75/-75.
With the wifi-qcom-ac on client even scan cant see other side with ap mode.

ww2 was not made for long range links, at least for now. You cant adjust range setting and that will result in performance issues + other necessary features are missing, so revert to legacy driver, at least for now.

What’s new in 7.14.3 (2024-Apr-17 15:47):
*) wifi-qcom - added configuration.distance setting to enable operation over multi-kilometer distances (CLI only);

That changelog is about the AX device driver. For wifi-qcom-ac there is no distance setting, so you might be better off with the regular older package for long range links.

looks like devil is hiding in detail, as always
