I’m new to MikroTik but not to wireless networking. I’m having a heck of a time configuring a PTP link with two new LHG XL 2 units. I can connect to the web interface without issue but when I change the mode to “PTP Bridge AP” and assign a static address the web interface disables. The device returns pings without issue. But I cannot connect to the web interface or with WinBox. I can reset the unit’s config with the hardware button and get back into the interface. But any changes made in the web interface disables the web interface. This is happening on both units.
I was finally able to resolve this with the help of a previous forum post. For anybody that stumbles across this in the future:
Basically I added all my interfaces to the LAN list and disabled some default firewall rules. These things are not intuitive and aren’t anything like the handful of other bridges I’ve configured.
