licence update not working

I had to reinstall routeros and ever since upgrading from 3.14 to 3.25 the licence won’t update, no matter what I tried, it’s stuck on demo mode, i’ve even gone back to the orginal version.

I exported the key and submitted it to mikrotik’s website, it generated a new code that for some reason doesn’t work either, the software id on my router currently does not match the one from mikrotik’s website, however, the one on the website does seem to be the correct key because it was purchased by the supplier in bought the rb from.

You have v3.25. That’s the problem. Upgrade to v4.10 with Netinstall and see what ID you will have then. If still something different than the paid key, email support for a free replacement key. Do not downgrade to such old versions, they have issues with the new keys and SoftIDs
