Limit Bandwith problem

Hello good afternoon, first of all forgive my English, I am Spanish hehe. I have a hotspot in which I have 2 ranges of IPs, a range is private and assigned to all users who are not authenticated and can only see the website of my company. I have another range of public IPs that are assigned to my clients who are authenticated and can connect to the internet. I have made an ip binding to my clients and I regulate the bandwidth by the leases of the dhcp. The problem I have is that if my clients assigned a private ip the limitation works without problem, (the private range does NAT) however when I assign a public ip (what I want) it only limits the upload and in the download it gives all the possible bandwidth. However when I do NAT to ips publicas (to prove, I know it does not make sense) the limitation works again. Somebody could help me?

Good day,

Check if you have fast track enabled in IP–> firewall → filter.

If packets gets fast-tracked they will bypass any queues and firewall.

Hi Pradox, how i can know if the packets gets by the fast track? what do you refer with fast track? thanks you man. Ok i saw the filter rules and i dont see nothing about fasttrack. :frowning:. Should i active fastrack?

sorry for the later reply

Fasttrack should be disabled. Can you maybe post the config so we can check?
