I’ve just bought a Mikrotik mAP 2n to link to a Ubiquiti NanoStation Loco M2 in order to receive WiFi networks when mobile in my motorhome (or RV if you live in the US!). I’ve managed to set it all up and it is logged into my home network, in fact I am typing this post through the device at the moment.

The problem is I don’t seem to be able to share the internet connection. I can connect to the mAP from mobile devices, an Android tablet and phone, they connect to the mAP’s network and I can access the mAP’s configuration page if I want, but somehow I cannot get the internet on these other devices. The one which can is the Windows 10 PC I am using at the moment.

I can’t think it is a mAP problem as I can see the other devices listed on the configuration page but could it be? And if not why can’t the Android devices connect? I’ve tried disconnecting the PC just in case something is only allowing one device to connect at a time but that was no good. Is this a firewall issue?

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

And a big HELLO to the Forum too!

Well I might have solved this. I wasn’t planning to use the ACL, but copying the devices listed in the setup page to the ACL seems to have cured the problem. We shall see if it continues to work!

Edit: It seemed to work, I had two devices accessing the internet but now the second can’t access the internet. Hmmm…

OK, sorted it - the mAP was set in Router configuration not Bridge. A quick click on the radio button changed it and I can now access it with multiple devices.
