Limited upload speed - where to start to find the issue

Hello,

2 or 3 months ago I noticed my upload speed is limited (testing on speedtest.net). I have 95/95 Mbit/s fiber connection and Mikrotik (see specific model in my signature) is my main home router. I did not have problem to have from 95 to 98 Mbit/s for download and upload on speedtest.net before.

I am not sure if I updated Mikrotik software 3 months ago, now I have version 6.39.2. And the upload speed changed to ±30 Mbit/s. The interesting point is If I do the speedtest with directly connected computer (with no Mikrotik), my upload speed is at least double (60+ Mbit/s).

I do not think I did some changes in settings related to speeds. And I am not sure where in Mikrotik to start to look for a mistake in my settings. Can you please give me a guide?

PS: My whole ethernet is wired with 100 Mbit/s and 1 Gbit/s cables. I tried to disconnect all devices (tablets, cell phones, printer, etc. to have only 1 computer connected to MIkrotik - upload is still limited). Feel free to ask me for additional information.

Thanks.

Watch the wan interface statistics and also see what occupies cpu during the maximum load. Ensure you are not part of ddns attack, check your firewall is correct and fasttrack enabled and in use.
