I have several RB532 based hotspots linked back to a single usermanager.
Recently, a small number of users have worked out that they can share their login details with friends who connect to a different hotspot and both will be allowed to authenticate.
Is there any way that usermanager can check to see if a user is currently logged in, before it allows another of the same username to authenticate. Something similar to the “Shared users” field in the hotspot.
Hi,
As i know userman doesn’t support Concurrent checking (Simultaneous-Use Radius Attribute)
Because we have same problem with our hotspots..
You can use MAC authentication instead of user-password check and only allowed MAC’s login to your hotspots..
But this method make some trouble because its very difficult to manage users with their MAC’s..
devrim, bythe time you switch to MAC auth. a single mac scan in you subnet causes a much more trouble than a multiple hotspot login! imagine a spoofed mac authenticated with your hotspot and your real customer can get in !
