I have 3COM 5500G with 2 separate link aggregation (4 ports). How I should set up The Dude Links for this configuration? 3COM don’t make virtual interface for aggregation like perhaps Cisco so only this 4 interfaces are visible in SNMP.
You would have to manually build a probe that sums all the counters together… pita, just monitor them separately, for example add 3 static devices make them little clouds then connect the 3 other links to the clouds and leave the primary link between the two boxes…
To build that probe search for posts that contain rate from me and other posts from gsandul that show how to monitor interface up down.
I have never tried anything like that so I don’t know… Nice that you got the chart working though, here is how you can put it on a dashboard…
You could create a Panel and put a few small windows for example a main center map, two small monitors on one side and log file view along the bottom. Then use that as your “Monitoring Dashboard”. The nicest part of doing it this way is you could put services in one of the side windows and below that the chart you made. Then sort services by the flag column and any service that is not in a green state will be at the top. Put a logfile or events panel along the bottom sort by newest and every time you open your Monitoring dash you see the most recent logfiles and any service that is not up. The chart will always be visible in this view as well.
Double click on Panels, click red +, name the new Panel, on the right corner of the panel you will see the gridbox buttons that add more panels, on the left side is a drop down that lets you control what is on each panel. Use the grid box to make as many panels in the view as you need. Find the chart or service or map you want to view in the drop down for the appropriate panel.
