Link down and dhcp client: losing connection

RB7xx with v5.8.

Is it possible that RB doesn’t DHCPREQUEST the address immediately after link down+link up?

There is DHCP authorisation on the network and if the provider equipment reboots it clears DHCP access table, and if there is no DHCP entry then no access. Nearly everything re-requests dhcp after link up so I hope it’s caused by something else. I cannot check since it’s not a local router.

Ohkay, answering myself; support ticket #2011112866000355, it seems that the problem exists even in v5.9 prerelease, there seems to be no trivial fix so far, hacking required.

It has been promptly fixed in v5.10! 3 days from the report!
