just started to monitor my network with the dude (love the name).
works fine.
i am a WISP and would like to monitor traffic going through the links.
some link labels are just working fine, some aren’t.
they aren’t refreshing, they refresh when i open the access point to which they are designated to.
if i close the window they stop.
some of the links are working fine.
Have you checked ‘MikroTik RouterOS’ at the device configuration (make sure correct login/password are entered to as well)?
Which interface do you monitor?
yes i have checked “router OS”,
the login credentials are right as well (when i enter the device, all the information is updating, if i leave it stops)
right now i am monitoring ethernet connections.
i’ve tried with wireless and bridges as well.
all three connection types produce the same problem.
some devices just work like a charm. some don’t work at all.
router OS version can’t be the problem as well. some of the 4.9 devices aren’t working as well.
Yes, it is confusing, I remember that previously I was able to reproduce the same problem with type=RouterOS, but now I’m trying to get the same problem and few links are working like a charm (I’ve setup).
I’ve noticed same problem when using 3.5, 3.6 anb 4.0b1. Also under 3.4 but intermitently.
I started monitoring links using routeros connection and it only updated data once or twice.
Then I moved to SNMPv3 (MD5, SHA, security=private) and labels never got updated or label showed InInterfaceBitrate.
After that I tried with SNMPv2c (no SNMP security) and it is working, but without SNMP security at all (I have to rely on some firewall rules to prevent unauthorized accesses to SNMP).
