I need to link two different subnets together though each have their own separate gateways.
Setup is as follows:
[A]
LHG ether1 10.0.0.1 + DHCP server
hAP 10.0.0.2 in bridge
LHG ether1 192.168.0.1 + DHCP server
hAP 192.168.0.2 in bridge
I’ve tried pulling an ether on each hAP out of their respective bridges, assigning a different subnet to them and masquerade. They can see each other but no further, I’ve tried this setup on the LHG’s as well but same result. I also tried firewall filters and IP routes but no luck.
Please assist with some guidance on what I’m missing here.
hAP is between both LHG, he should be a 2x client, not one big bridge.
hAP have got his own LAN3 with own DHCP and client’s ?
How this “link” should work in your idea? How you like to share both networks?
You should have one LAN for computers and share access for them to both LGH networks or create VRRP on LHG to give one gateway etc..
What you want to do should be done by routing at both LHG.
Do you have access to all those 3 devices?
Sorry I failed to mention that the LHG’s are providing internet connectivity, each LHG and hAP set provides two separate offices with internet. I just need LAN access between the two but not mix up the internet source.
I’ve tried this unless my routing is up to nonsense?
(A)
Dst. Address: 192.168.0.0/24
Gateway: 192.168.111.1 / or ether5
192.168.111.1/24 set on hAP ether5 connected to (B)
(B)
Dst. Address: 10.0.0.0/24
Gateway: 192.168.111.2 / or ether5
192.168.111.2/24 set on hAP ether5 connected to (A)
But you not witch to do a LOOP via joining them together by one bridge, true ?
.
hAP for AP
this hAP can receive 2x ethernet from both LHG to two bridge-es. Bridge-Office-A and Bridge-Office-B. Those bridge-s can “connect” those networks as vlan’s on other port to your external AP with few SSID providing networks’s from differ office’s.
LHR can be connected via the same Layer2 and have shared subnet /30 who can be used to do route traffic beetween both networks. I think this is your goal. ?
YES, it’s nonsense because you must doit at MAIN ROUTER in Office A&B, not at hAP. This will be works only when users from A&B have gateway to your hAP.
You not provide a GRAPH but LHG are wifi link’s from other MAIN ROUTER ?, true?
You must thinkink as PC in LAN_A. He have gateway to his main router, not to lhg or hAP. Main Router in office A and B must have route tables between them.
