Links between neighbor devices

Hi!

May be it’s a newbie question, but I didn’t find how i can make auto addition of links between neighbor devices. They are only connected to subnet cloud.
Is it possible?

Thanks in advance=)

but are they directly connected, or they are connected to switch? I think correct way is to display them as on the same network, not connected together.

Thanks for quick reply!

Devices are connected to the switch and some devices between each other. But how can i see topology and through which interfaces they are connected?

I’ve found the topic http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/cant-get-links-to-show-automatically-between-switches/54469/1 that duplicates mine. And people say that The Dude don’t support auto addition of links between devices, only to ip cloud. Is it right?

Did you check auto discover settings? What does add networks add links and layer 2 structure do? Sorry I don’t use auto discover so you might need to do some testing.

I think normis says right in general, but i thought may some feature exists like Cisco CDP. I saw topic in which people upload their network maps. Are they manually add links between network devices or not i don’t understand. Will try to ask there=)

I have always added the links between devices manually. I used autodiscover once or twice when I first started using The Dude but only got the devices connecting to a subnet as you have experienced.
