We have over 100 e1200 and e1500s installed and about 20% have a issue where they disconnect from PPPoE repeatedly. Currently we have all the accounts configured on directly on router boards at the pop, running a routed network. We have different router boards and different os versions however they all experience some issues. Anywhere from 5 to 12 accounts will continually disconnect “terminating… disconnected”. This can last minutes or hours. Firmware upgrades don’t fix it. We have tried every setting change possible on PPPoE with no success, even two mikrotik pppoe boxes. And to our knowledge its only a linksys problem. We run a rocket/nanobridge setup to the clients.
